Finally, my first post about knitting! I have fallen in love with knitting and will have my own patterns up later in the year. For now, check out these amazing free Valentine’s day knitting patterns geared towards love and friendship. The title for each pattern links to the original designer. Enjoy!
(Black)Hearted Sock Pattern
I have never made socks before. The hearts at the top of this cuff look adorable, and this looks like a simple pattern that even I could try to tackle! When you click the link, the pattern is a little hard to spot- she has the PDF linked in the words, so just keep a look out for it.
Valentine Heart Doily
This pattern is provided by Red Heart as a downloadable PDF. The Valentine Heart Doily is so beautiful, I’m sure that you will want to keep it on display year round.
Sweet Hearts Baby Blanket
This is another design also provided by red heart, and is made with a soft, washable yarn. The Sweet Hearts Blanket is a perfect addition for Valentine’s Day. Make it twice as large to have one for yourself!
Heart hat “Romantic” free knitting pattern (chart)
Luckily, some people still have cold weather in February (being in TX, I do not have that luck unfortunately). Colorwork is a favorite of mine, and I like the chart provided by craftox for this pattern. The hat is stunning!
Cute Heart Mug Rug
What is the difference between a mug rug and a coaster? I’m not entirely sure, but this sweet little mug rug will be great for your office or home.
Heartwarming Scarf
This is a free Ravelry download! Even though this is part of my Valentine’s collection, the heartwarming scarf is beautiful and can be worn during any cold, chilly day. I like the color work and heart pattern combination seen on this scarf.
Sweetheart Cup Cozy
Do you like cup cozies? The sweetheart cup cozy will work up fast and will be great for yourself or a friend. Make all the cup cozies!
“Kiss Me” Candy Dishcloth
Fun fact about myself: I absolutely love dishcloths and washcloths. This is a free pattern from Lily Sugar n’ Cream. Based on the pattern, the dishcloth will be a bit more difficult, so attempt this after being familiar with the traditional knit dishcloth.
I hope that you find this pattern collection of Valentine’s Day knitting patterns inspiring, and maybe you will attempt a few of them! If you also like to crochet, consider checking out the Valentine’s Day crochet pattern post from earlier this week (of course, this is also a list of free patterns!).
