I love this pattern, I only had an issue which was not the pattern but with my hook sizing to get a coaster to be the right size. You say G hook and I did my first one with an G and it looked a bit too small. So I was thinking I had made a mistake, and went back to the pattern and saw 4.5 mm or G (4.5 is a size 7 hook) crazy weird but it’s not a letter it’s a number and it is bigger than a G (4mm) but smaller than an H (5mm) and I use Bates hooks or cover hooks for the most part but looking through my hook stash I found a Boye hook that says 4.25mm is a G hook lol soooo not all hooks are the same I guess, so I learned something new today.
I also did a row of slip stitches all the way around mine and it made it feel not as floppy. I’m also using I love this cotton yarns… I probably would not need to do that with sugars and crème or peaches and crème cotton yarns. But I do love the pattern and YouTube video as well.
